Last week we started off our three-part blog series with the services we offer in pre-production, which is the development and planning stages of your video project. All the services we offer and perform during that time are to ensure this following stage runs smoothly.
This week I’m covering the production stage, where we capture all the footage and sound of your video project. This sounds simple enough, but we like to think we take extra care of our team and clients to ensure these days go off without a hitch. B-Roll Footage:
Clients often ask if we can film B-roll footage for their videos. And the answer is, absolutely! B-roll can sometimes be the most fun to film. It creates layers and dimensions that help tell your story. So, whether you want drone clips, stunning detail shots, or anything else, we’ll capture all the b-roll you need to bring your narrative to life.

Setting Up the Shoot:
As I mentioned in our pre-production services, we’ll acquire all the film equipment and gear needed for your production. Now is when we put everything into action. On the day(s) of your production, our team guarantees to arrive on time to set up and get everything on track for a great day of filming. This includes scouting and setting up all the camera equipment, lighting, sound, and set design.
These days can get hectic, as we often work off a tight schedule and have a lot to accomplish within a certain amount of time. But we get it done by always bringing a production crew that is reliable and efficient. They make it look easy, but they’re just good at what they do!
Our Noble Bison Productions team does whatever it takes to maximize time and alleviate as much stress as possible for everyone. Depending on the scope of your video, we may suggest coming in a day or so before shooting to set up for the production or iron out any technical aspects.
For instance, putting up a large lighting rig, testing sound with Bluetooth, or testing streaming connections. Whatever the job calls for, we do what we can to make it a successful production.
Professional Directing:
An experienced director can make all the difference in how clients and talent come across and the overall quality of the final product. Our co-owner, Jeff Riley, is one of the primary directors on the set of our productions. He’s great at helping people feel comfortable and confident while on camera. Especially when it comes to getting business owners and employees to speak naturally and off the cuff in interviews, he’s the man! Here’s a bit of him in action:
Makeup, Costume, Set, & Props:
In our last blog, we talked about how we prepare for the production phase by hiring all the wonderful people who take care of the details on the set, like the special effects crew, set designers, and hairstyling professionals. On shoot days, these people are hard at work behind the scenes to ensure the talent and clients look their best and have everything they need for each take. They’re also running around making sure that the set looks good, using steamers to get out wrinkles, adjusting props, and so on. We handpick the best people in this industry, and our productions are all the better for it. Take a peek into their world below:
Photography Services:
Our team works with professional photographers who can take high-quality headshots, product images, behind the scenes, and more. If this is a service you want us to include in your project, let our team know, and we’ll add it to your statement of work.
Catering:
Production days are often very long, so we provide breakfast/lunch to our crew and the talent working on set all day. We usually arrive with coffee and breakfast in the morning and have snacks and drinks available throughout the day for anyone on set. I mention this because we certainly don’t mind organizing and picking up lunch for our clients if they want that service included — just let us know!
